On March 27, Congress passed the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act, a $2-trillion emergency relief fund to assist Americans during the COVID-19 shutdown. While the legislation is historic in many ways, the inclusion of self-employed workers and independent contractors is unprecedented and of great importance to many ATA members.
